Press with fingertips until mixture begins to form moist clumps. Put the rack of the oven in the center. Crumble: In a bowl, mix all dry ingredients. Add butter and mix juntil preparation is just moisten and stick together until the pressure of the fingers.

  3. Lay the stewed plums out and add the topping till the plums are covered. We sprinkled a handful of oats over the top of our crumble but this is optional. Bake in a hot oven (180 fan) for approx 35 mins till the plum juices come through the top and the crumble is golden.
