  1. Take a big bowl and add besan, green fenugreek leaves, coriander, green chilli, green garlic, gratedonion, ginger paste, salt, ajwain and oil. And mix with hands with mashing fenugreek leaves and all.
  2. Add turmeric powder, asfoetida and crushed black pepper. Add water and mix well. Make smooth batter and keep for 5-7min.
  3. Now once nicely mix the batter.
  4. Heat thin tawa, add 2-3 drop of oil and greas the tawa. Add 1/4cup batter into tawa, and spread with big spatula. Add oil on the edges and spread on top, cook on medium flame, flip after 1min.
  5. Cook on other side till it comes crispy.
  6. Serve hot with salad (juellian cutted carrot,onion and cabbage. With salt and lemon juice. You can add your favourite ones), flavoured curd, sweet chutney, garlic chutney, etc.

It is rich in protein and fibre, and what do I say about the flavour. Moreover it is instant and makes a quick breakfast. The versatile besan flour makes great besan chillas, a healthy snacking option. The besan chilla, relatively easy to make, is a healthy snack option.
