  2. Take Salt

Instructions to make Cafe Au Lait Bread:
  1. Put all the ingredients except for the chocolate and the butter in a bowl and knead. Once the dough is formed, add the butter and knead it in.
  2. Round off the dough and allow to rise to more than twice its original size (1st rising). ※If adding chocolate, break up the chocolate bar into 8 pieces.
  3. Once the dough has risen to twice its original volume, divide into 8 portions, round off each piece and rest for 20 minutes.
  4. Flatten each piece of dough and wrap it around one of the 8 chocolate pieces Round off again. Leave to rise again (2nd rising) until doubled in size. (You can put the dough into little tins as shown in the photo too. ♪)
  5. Once the has risen to twice their size, bake in a preheated oven at 180 ℃ for 13 to 15 minutes.
  6. The bread is delicious even without the chocolate.
  7. (Top loaf) 300 g of flour baked in a cylindrical mesh pan. (Bottom loaf) 200 g flour in a half-moon shaped baking pan. No chocolate added.
  8. The dough can be baked in a square shokupan or Pullman loaf pan too.
