The ingredients needed to make Apple Halwa:
  1. Take 1 apple, washed, wiped, peeled and diced
  2. Take 2 tbsp sugar or more if apples are less sweet
  3. Take 2 tbsp ghee
  4. Prepare 2 tbsp water
  5. Prepare 1 tsp vanilla essence
  6. Make ready 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  7. Get 1 tsp blanched almonds flakes

  1. Melt ghee in a kadai.
  2. Add apples and saute them for 5mins.
  3. When they turn brown and are soft, add water.
  4. Cook on slow flame for 10-12mins.
  5. Masb the apples with the serving spoon and go on stirring frequently to avoid the mixture getting burnt.
  6. Add sugar and continue to stir.
  7. Add cinnamon powder and vanilla essence.
  8. Cook more for 2-3 mins or till ghee leaves the sides of the kadai..
  9. Garnish with almond and pistachio flakes.
  10. Apple Halwa can be served hot or cold.
