  1. Take 6 large beetroots

  7. Get 2 cup granulated sugar
  8. Get 1 cup malt vinager

  1. Peel and grate apple and beets and ginger
  2. Zest and juice orange and lemon
  3. Place all ingredients in large saucepan and bring to a rolling boil
  4. Simmer for up to an hour. The chutney will thicken into a jam like consistency
  5. Leave to cool then jar-up, label and give to your mum, auntie or friendly neighbour x
