The ingredients needed to make Stuffed Idli:
  1. Make ready For Idli batter
  2. Take 1 cup Uraddal
  3. Make ready 2 Cups Rice
  4. Prepare 1 tbsp Sour Curd
  5. Prepare 1/4 tsp Soda bi carb or 1 sachet eno
  6. Take 2-3 tbsp Oil
  7. Take Salt as per taste
  8. Get For Stuffing
  9. Prepare 2 Boiled and Grated Potatoes
  10. Get 1 Finely Chopped Onion
  11. Get 2-3 Curry leaves chopped
  12. Take 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  13. Make ready 1 tsp Urad dal
  14. Get 1 tsp Chana dal
  15. Prepare 2 Finely Chopped green chillies
  16. Get 1/4 tsp Ginger Grated
  17. Prepare 1 tsp Chopped Coriander
  18. Make ready 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
  19. Get 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  20. Prepare Salt as per taste
Instructions to make Stuffed Idli:
  1. Soak Rice and Uraddal in separate containers for 2-3 hours. Grind them to fine paste and mix well. Add 1 tbsp curd and rest for 4-5 hours. For stuffing Take 1 tbsp Oil in kadai. Put mustard seeds in it.let it crackle add Channadal and Uraddal.
  2. Add green chillies, curry leaves, ginger, onions and simar till onions turn transparent.
  3. Add Grated Potatoes, salt, garam masala, turmeric powder, coriander and mix well.
  4. Take idli batter add 2 tbsp Oil, salt as per taste and mix well. Add soda bi carb or eno to the batter.and mix well
  5. Pour 1 tsp batter in Idli stand. Put 1 tsp stuffing on it and cover the stuffing with some more idli batter.
  6. Cook on high flame for 5-7 minutes. Take out the Stan from idli vessel. Let it cool. Remove it from the stand
  7. Serve it with coconut chutney or sambhar
