Steps to make Chicken Lasagne:
Preheat oven to 190 degree celsius.
Cook lasagne sheets in wide pot of water with salt until al dente according to package instructions. Approximately 10-12 minutes. Strain into a colander. Hold it under running water to stop further cooking. Add olive oil to coat pasta from sticking together.
For red sauce : heat 2 tbsp of olive oil in pan and cook diced chicken with salt and pepper until done. Transfer it to a bowl along with juices.
In the same pan heat 2 tbsp of olive oil. Add finely chopped garlic cloves and onion. Saute until they are soft.
Add choppes tomatoes, tomato paste, italian seasoning, pepper and salt. Cook for a minute.
Add back the chicken with juices. Let it boil and simmer for 3 minutes.
For white sauce : In another pan on medium heat take butter. Once it melts add plain flour and mix with whisk and cook for 2-3 minutes until aromatic.
Gradually add milk and whisk continuously to avoid lumps. Simmer and let it boil until smooth thick sauce consistency.
Switch off the flame. Add cheddar cheese, italian seasoning, salt and mustard powder. Whisk to mix well.
Assembling Chicken Lasagna : In a baking tray spread cheese sauce to prevent lasagne from sticking to the tray.
Place 3 lasagne sheets. Spread 1/2 of prepared chicken sauce and 1/3 of cheese sauce.
Repeat another layer with 3 lasagne sheets, 1/2 of chicken sauce and 1/3 of cheese sauce.
Next place the remaining 3 lasagne sheets. Spread the remaining cheese sauce and sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
Bake in preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until golden. Rest for 5-10 minutes.
