The ingredients needed to make Rice Khichu Pattice:
  1. Take For Rice Khichu (outer covering):
  2. Get 2 cup rice flour
  3. Make ready 1 tbsp green chillies-ginger paste
  4. Prepare 1/2 tsp asafoetida (hing)
  5. Make ready 2 glass water
  6. Get 1 tbsp cummin seeds
  7. Make ready 1 pinch soda bi carb
  8. Get to taste Salt
  9. Take For green peas mixture(stuffing):
  10. Prepare 1 cup fresh green peas
  11. Get 2 tbsp oil
  12. Make ready 1 tsp cummin seeds
  13. Get 1 tbsp white sesame seeds
  14. Get 2 tbsp green chillies-ginger paste
  15. Take 1/2 cup grated coconut
  16. Get 1/4 cup chopped fresh coriander leaves
  17. Take 2 tbsp sugar powder
  18. Take to taste Salt
  19. Get pieces Few raisins and cashewnuts
  20. Prepare as needed Oil for frying
Steps to make Rice Khichu Pattice:
  1. In a vessel add 2 glass of water,add cummin seeds and pinch soda bi carb. Keep for boiling on medium flame till 1 glass of water remain.
  2. In thali spread rice flour, add salt, asafoetida, green chillies ginger paste.
  3. Pour hot cummin seeds water on it.
  4. Mix well to make thick mixture (for outer covering).This rice Khichu mixture will be taste like 75 percent cooked.
  5. Crushed fresh green peas in mixer jar coarsely. In non- stick kadhai add heat oil,add & do tempering of cummin and sesame seeds. Add coarsely grinded green peas mixture and salt,mix and cook for 5-7 mins till raw taste of peas go away.
  6. Off the flame,add grated coconut chopped fresh coriander leaves and sugar powder..mix well. Keep aside to cool before using as stuffing.
  7. Make 12 equal balls from prepared rice Khichu mixture.
  8. Take one rice khichu ball flatten it..add 1 tbsp of prepared peas mixture in center,add 2-3 raisins and cashewnuts pieces..as shown. Fold from all side, make flatten round balls.
  9. Deep fry Rice Khichu Pattices few at a time in hot oil on high flame till golden brown in colour.Similarly fry all Pattices.
  10. Serve Relish Hot Rice Khichu Pattices with tomato sauce.
